A.        Admission Policy

Hillrange Secondary School is a school for boys, open to students of all backgrounds and does not discriminate on the basis of race, language, creed or economic position.
The criteria for admission into the school include:

  1. Entrance Examination results

  2. Past academic performance of the student (two preceding years)

  3. Interview with the parents

  4. Interview with the candidate

  5. Recommendation(s) from referee(s)

All information obtained by the School on the candidate and his family during the admission process will be handled with a high degree of confidentiality. The school reserves the right not to disclose, in whole or in part, the result of the admission process.

B.          Application Process

1. Fill up the Application Form online www.hillrangeschool.org.ng. Alternatively, you may download the form or obtain a hard copy from Hillrange Secondary School, Centenary City or Hillrange Primary School, 153 Ukpata Crescent, Golf Estate, GRA, Enugu.
2. Pay the Examination Fee of N6,000

Use the applicant's name in the bank teller as the "Depositor". For online payment, also use applicant's name.

3.Submit a copy of the following documents to Hillrange Secondary School:
o A hard copy of the completed application form, where applicable
o Two (2) passport photos of the applicant
o Birth Certificate
o Baptismal certificate (for Catholics and Anglicans)
o Report cards for the current and previous sessions
o Bank Teller or proof of online payment.
C.         Entrance Examination

The deadline for submission of application forms, payment slips and all other application documents is three days before the entrance examination.

The examination will include a written test in Mathematics, English Language and General Knowledge. This will be followed by an oral interview of each candidate. The examination will begin at 10 am and end by 2 pm

D.         After the Entrance Examination

Parents of successful candidates will be invited by e-mail or telephone within one week of examination for an interview.
