The Chairman of Ikota Educational Foundation- Professor Albert Alos visited Hillrange School as part of his three-day tour of Ikota projects in Enugu. Upon his arrival this morning, He met with educators and students individually then sat in a meeting with the academic staff. In the meeting, after welcoming new educators, he expressed his pleasure with the way members of the school community maintained high levels of COVID-19 compliance. He encouraged staff to stay driven and committed to the Mission of the School. He stressed the need for dedication and urged them to seek the common objectives of the school above personal interest. Prof encouraged them to pursue personal development, stating that the result of their work will always be seen by parents and other stakeholders. He shared personal experiences he had with his former students who are doing well in their various fields of life and noted that Teaching is the only profession where young people are not only shaped to be better humans but would always return to appreciate their educators. He stated that as educators, they must always treat students not as a mass of persons but individually, buttressing one of the philosophies of the school which is Personlised Education. The meeting ended with words of appreciation from the Principal- Mr. Sebastian Eluehike, a few banters, and group photographs.
