HILLRANGE ADMISSION POLICY AND PROCEDURE 2026

  1. Admission Policy

Hillrange Secondary School is a school for boys, open to students of all backgrounds and does not discriminate on the basis of race, language, creed or economic status.

The criteria for admission into the school include the following:

  1. Entrance Examination Results
  2. Candidate’s academic performance at his present school
  3. Interview with the candidate
  4. Interview with the parents
  5. Recommendation(s) from referee(s)

All information obtained by the school on the candidate and his family during the admission process will be handled with a high degree of confidentiality. The school reserves the right not to disclose, in whole or in part, the result of the admission process.

  1. Application Process
  2. Submit a copy of the following to HILLRANGE SECONDARY SCHOOL
  • A hard copy of the completed application form (Where applicable)
  • Two (2) passport photos of the applicant
  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal certificate (for Catholics and Anglicans)
  • Proof of online payment of the exam (09038346546)
  1. Pay the examination fee of ₦20,000 into the school’s bank account

  1. Entrance Examination

Exam date is Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 11am to 5pm. The day’s activities include the following:

  • Written tests in Mathematics, English Language and General Knowledge
  • Oral interview of each candidate
  • Sports (Candidates should come to the exam venue in sports wear)
  • Lunch for candidates
  • There will be a family case study session for parents while the exam is on.
  1. Examination Results

A list of successful candidates will be posted on our website (www.hillrangeschool.org.ng) by 4pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The parents of these candidates should call the school to book for “Parents Interview” which will hold between Thursday 9th April to Friday 17th April, 2026. Time, between 9am and 3pm (Weekdays Only). This is an integral part of the admission process.
